In our club we have a player who deliberately slows his play when he is able to knock. Other players paid very little attention to this move until I advised my partner to hold his play each time this individual hesitated to discard. At first, I was unpopular for having my partner hold his play, because other players felt this was unnecessary. Now, most of the club members see the value of keeping play moving on an even basis; and when this individual hesitates and his opponent advises his partner to hold play, he invariably knocks the hand. It has made a large difference in the outcome of the game.
Another point that I feel should be observed in partnership gin is when one partner has completed his hand, and he wishes to observe his partner's play, he should stand only behind his partner and not try to see what his partner's opponent holds in his hand. I will give u advice that be attentive while playing gin rummy. There could be cheating. However, just normal reactions to a play may give out information. |
