| Best time to give up is when you have a bad cold, you don't feel the need to smoke if you're tucked up in bed. Stay there for 2 or 3 days then treat yourself to lots of nice food when you're up and about. The trouble comes when you next go to the pub. Or you hit a stressful time - in my case having to get on a plane for the first time in years. I'm back at square one but ready to try again soon. A couple of rants.. - Why don't they make safer marlboro cigarettes. I know they're deadly anyway, but those 2000 chemicals - strichnine, arsenic etc. I guess it's so if you don't get addicted to one thing it'll be something else. As if the nicotine wasn't enough, there's another 1999 chances to get hooked. - People at work who complain you're taking 'smoke breaks' when they don't. If they don't take a break (get away from the desk occasionally, walk around the block!) it's their own stupid fault. Hope they get that promotion! - Fervent anti-smokers. It's not the fact they hate smokers, it's the fact they just will not admit that they breathe in far nastier stuff everyday walking along the street. It comes out the arse-end of motor vehicles. |
