Samford Hall::Auburn University Today I'm feeling:
I've been wearing my sunglasses a lot lately. Indoors even. I've found that wearing my sunglasses is a great way to keep my thoughts to myself. Especially in confrontations.
It makes my husband crazy when I wear them in stores sometimes, but to be honest, they are prescription, and to take them off, after driving, and then to walk in a store makes my vision a little blurry. With the sunglasses on, I can see, without having to take 5 minutes or so for my eyes to adjust.
Yes, I could just wear my glasses, but I seem to be getting more and more middle-aged looking as the days go by, and why add to that look?
Contacts are out of the question. My eyes have always been too dry for lenses, and I think I'll wait until RK is 100%.
I stumbled across the use of my sunglasses indoors when I was working with my husband; the Abhole, his brother; and the Abhole's gf, who we now call 'stupid'. This was back in May when we were all trying to get the lake cabin decorated. When 'stupid' rolled her eyes for the zillionth time at a point I was making, and when I was on the verge of bursting in to tears, because my husband was not backing me up and the Abhole was abstaining from the whole procedure, I just slapped my shades on, looked around the room and said 'whatever' in a voice that too me sounded wavery, but the hubs later said it was c-o-l-d.
Like a small child who hides in plain site, I enjoy being able to see well, but not really be seen.
Football season begins on Saturday. We have a night game, with kick-off around 6:45 p.m. It will probably be sticky and humid. I used to love football games, now I dread them. No one will know, though, because of the shades...and yes, I will be wearing my sunglasses at night...thank you Corey Hart.
I see it's been almost a month since my last entry. Truth be told, I've been a bit on the depressed side lately. *shrugs* I'm sure it will pass.
The kids are all in school now. B is a senior, with all those silly senior privileges and responsibilities. He only has 4 REAL classes, but they are tough. Pre-Cal, Econ, Lit. 12, & Physics. Then he also has Art, PE and Teacher's Aid...Miss R is taking AP History and AP Chemistry along with Algebra 2, French 2, English 10, Art and PE. Ry is taking the general 8th Grade courses, plus French. He's hoping to take it this year and next year and that way he won't have to take a foreign language in High School. We'll see..he'll have to make A's.
D and I have to sit down with B and talk colleges tonight. He has his list narrowed down to: Auburn University, Bluefield College, Brevard College, Campbell University, Ferrum College, High Point University, Radford University and University of Montevallo.
Small southern schools. Two in Alabama, three in N. Carolina, and three in Virginia.
I wish I had given my college career as much thought. I just randomly decided to apply to Auburn during Spring Break of my senior year and that was that. If I could do it again, I might end up at Auburn, but then again, I might end up at Queen's or the University of Toronto... monody (MON-uh-dee) noun 1. A poem in which the poet laments someone's death. 2. A piece of music in which a single melodic line predominates. [From Greek monoidos (singing alone), from mono- (one) + (oide) song.]
On August 31, 1888, Mary Ann Nichols was found murdered in London's East End in what is generally regarded as the first slaying committed by "Jack the Ripper."

| If you're in uncomfortable position and have got no cash to get out from that, you will need to take the business loans. Because that should help you unquestionably. I get sba loan every time I need and feel myself good just because of it. | |||
